Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

HOW DO I GET STARTED?

1. Get An Order for Outpatient Occupational Therapy

Talk to your doctor about getting a prescription for outpatient “Occupational Therapy Eval & Treat”. Your doctor’s office can fax it directly to (949)-326-2760. If you already have an order, you can fax it or email a copy to kristy@mobileotsolutions.com.

2. Confirm Insurance Eligibility

Mobile OT Solutions is contracted with Medicare Part B!

A copy of your insurance cards (front and back) is needed to verify eligibility and estimated out of pocket costs (ie: co-pays, deductible, and/or co-insurance).

If you are without insurance coverage, you may be eligible for treatment via private pay.

3. Complete Intake Paperwork

Upon receiving a copy of the order, intake paperwork can be mailed or emailed to you, so that it is complete prior to the evaluation.

4. Schedule Your Initial Evaluation

Call our office at (714) 406-0904 to schedule your appointment.

HOW LONG WILL TREATMENT LAST?

Medicare Part B covers medically necessary, skilled Occupational Therapy treatments. The frequency and duration of treatment will differ and be specific to your needs. If/when services no longer meet the criteria defined by Medicare as medically necessary, you will have the option to discontinue services or switch to a private pay option.

CAN YOU SEE PATIENTS WHO ARE CURRENTLY RECEIVING HOME HEALTH SERVICES?

Home health nursing and therapy services are typically covered under the Medicare Part A benefit.  Medicare Part B will NOT cover outpatient Occupational Therapy services until you have been discharged from Medicare Part A home health care. If you are, or were, recently receiving home health services, please provide us with the name and telephone number of the agency that you were receiving services from to confirm that you have been discharged from the agency.
